1984 911 Carrera Factory Style Car
The 911 Carrera 3.2 presented here is one of two similar cars produced in conjunction with Porsche’s design studio under the leadership of Tony Lapine. These unique 911s received experimental multi-stage finishes; this particular example was painted Brilliant Black Metallic, a special color with a subtle orange highlight. Both cars were also outfitted with distinctive interiors, featuring leather-trimmed parts and color-coordinated velour carpeting throughout. To match the exterior, this Carrera was upholstered in rich, elegant Naturorange (Natural Orange) leather. Additional factory equipment included Orange painted Turbo wheels, Recaro sport seats, a rear spoiler, limited-slip differential, sunroof, Blaupunkt radio, and air-conditioning.
The Brilliant Black Metallic Carrera was later discovered in Sweden and purchased by Dr. Georg Konradsheim, co-author of the book Carrera RS. The Carrera remains in original, unrestored condition, with less than 110,000 km (~68,000 miles) on the odometer.
Accompanied by its original owner’s manual, warranty book, tool kit, and Porsche Classic Technical Certificate, this singular 911 is among the most exciting, important, and unique examples of the Carrera 3.2 to be found anywhere.
